Dr. Marina Papangelou
Dr. Marina Papangelou received her Bachelor’s Degree from Queens College of the City University of N.Y, her Master’s of Science at San Francisco State University and her Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Voice and Voice Disorders, specializing in the care of the professional voice. She practiced as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Houston in a variety of long-term and acute care settings (hospitals, school districts, private practices and nursing homes) before returning to Europe where she worked at: an institution for children with multiple disabilities, her own private practice and hospitals. In Wisconsin, she worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist Wisconsin-Madison Hospital and Clinics while she taught at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Communicative Disorders at the Master’s-degree level. Currently, Marina is employed at The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research (TIRR) Memorial Hermann Hospital outpatient clinic. Dr. Marina Papangelou speaks four languages (Greek, French, German, and English), plays the piano, is theatrically and vocally trained, trained in Shiatsu massage and dances ballet. All these areas of knowledge are used to enhance her therapy approaches. Marina has received many honors, including being chosen from the Continental Who is Who. Mark A. Wetuski, D.H.Sc., MA
Dr. Mark Wetuski graduated with his B.A. in Communication Disorders from the University of Houston and went directly into the Masters program for Communicative Sciences and Disorders, which he received in 2007 from UH. Following graduation, Dr. Wetuski moved to Galveston and completed an intensive residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch. It was there he became passionate for acute care and proficient with MBSSs with both children and adults and also passing the scope to complete FEES assessments. Following his residency, Dr. Wetuski moved back to Houston and began work in long-term care, while maintaining his skills in acute care via PRN work. He wanted to continue his education and went back to school to eventually earn his Doctor of Health Sciences degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2011. After earning this degree, Dr. Wetuski began working for Sava Senior Care as a Rehabilitation Program Manager and in 2013 he was promoted to Senior Rehabilitation Program Manager. After years of dedication to this role, Dr. Wetuski was promoted in 2015 and moved to McAllen, Texas to become a District Director of Rehabilitation and now manages the Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy services in 13 LTC facilities in south Texas.
